Description antistress 2013-12-01 13:23:13 UTC
Switching the media library from Icons to List mode, clip details are truncated (see attached screenshot) and there is none of the usual ways to see the complete information (no column resizing poissibility within the media library nor tooltip).
Two workarounds : clicking on the Properties icon or reducing the previewer to maximize the media library (BTW note that i can't directly maximize the the media library, i have to reduce the previewer to get a bigger madia library).

I think the common expected behaviour when details are truncated is to get a tooltip with the complete information.

Maye you could offer that functionality ?

True, it is an issue that has been affecting me too. On the other hand, I doubt that introducing horizontal scrolling would be a reasonable solution.

Furthermore, I'm somewhat hoping to actually deprecate the listview in bug #708332 with GTK 3.12, but I don't know how yet. So spending more time on listview & iconview in the meantime isn't a priority, though if someone wants to provide a nice patch for it I'll accept it ;)
