GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 719105
Import skipping mp4 files from Android phone
Last modified: 2017-09-21 11:09:17 UTC
---- Reported by shotwell-maint@gnome.bugs 2013-11-10 16:29:00 -0800 ---- Original Redmine bug id: 7679 Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/7679 Searchable id: yorba-bug-7679 Original author: Michael Gratton Original description: Shotwell 0.15 is refusing to import MPEG4 videos that were shot on my HTC One X phone. On importing the directory containing 12 such videos and nothing else, the message "12 non-image files skipped." is reported with a Save Details button, and and on saving the details, the following is reported: > /home/mjg/incoming/100MEDIA/VIDEO0001.mp4 error message: I.e. a blank error message for every video. I don't think this is related to 6062, since I don't see any of those GStreamer errors on the console. I'm running Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit, using the GNOME3 staging PPA. Totem can play the videos fine, and both Shotwell and Totem are linked against GStreamer 1.0, so it might not be a GStreamer issue. Related issues: related to shotwell - 6062: Shotwell fails to import mp4 files (Fixed) ---- Additional Comments From shotwell-maint@gnome.bugs 2013-11-14 16:26:00 -0800 ---- ### History #### #1 Updated by Jim Nelson 8 days ago * **Category** set to _import_ * **Status** changed from _Open_ to _Need Information_ If you run Shotwell according to this page (http://redmine.yorba.org/projects/shotwell/wiki/ReportingABug#Additional- information) you should get some log output as you import.
