---- Reported by adam@yorba.org 2012-04-04 09:52:00 -0700 ----

Original Redmine bug id: 4998
Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/4998
Searchable id: yorba-bug-4998
Original author: Adam Dingle
Original description:

Currently, the Show in File Manager command launches Nautilus whenever it is
present in the user's PATH. (See AppWindow.show_file_uri().) A user might have
Nautilus installed but have a different file manager configured as default.
The command should always launch the user's preferred file manager, i.e. the
one which Gtk.show_uri() would launch when passed a URL.

See #2129 for a recommendation from Federico Mena Quintero about using a DBus
interface for this (note that Shotwell was considered a canonical example
driving the need for this interface):

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=636269 landed a d-bus interface for this. It would be nice if it got used in shotwell.

I agree with this, I'm using a Manjaro Archlinux with KDE Desktop and Shotwell is opening filelight when I use open with file manager. filelight is not even a file manager! it's a storeage analysis tool! my default file manager is dolphin.
