GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 713856
Full-window mode
Last modified: 2019-03-31 13:37:04 UTC
---- Reported by jim@yorba.org 2013-10-31 17:13:00 -0700 ---- Original Redmine bug id: 7662 Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/7662 Searchable id: yorba-bug-7662 Original author: Jim Nelson Original description: A user on the blog has asked for Geary to have a mode where the conversation viewer could take the entire window. I've thought about this too in the past and there's some merit to it. Some formatted emails or emails with large images are some times too wide for the window and horizontal viewing is currently difficult (#6588). There's also the use case of focusing on the conversation itself and removing the distraction of Geary's other elements. I agree with Charles' comment. This looks like a duplicate of yorba-bug-7616, that is Bug 713884 - Add double click display email in separate window Mike, what do you think? The other related tickets are: yorba-bug-6588 is Bug 714842 - Can't scroll horizontally left or right with touchpad or middle mouse + drag yorba-bug-7663 was Bug 713855 - Full-screen mode
Yeah, or possibly a GMail-like mode - Bug 714183. I've just created a design bug for the main window in general, I'll add this as a dependency of that.
This is being taken care of over at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/geary/issues/141
