It's usually useful for me to have gnome-clocks in a corner of the screen while I do other stuff, for example when I time what it takes to read soemthing.

However, the actual layout of the application occupies *more than a half* of my 19" monitor just to show up 5 digits, and I cannot make it any smaller. This doesn't allow me to use the dual-app window layout feature of Gnome 3. I don't see the need of having such a huge chronometer, but I experience the disadvantages. In fact, any other gnome app installed on my system has more information on screen and can be made smaller.

Could you let users reduce the window, please?

Thanks a lot.

Hey, thank you for reporting this. Are we talking about 3.8 version here?
I thought its window size can be reduced as the user wishes. the minimal window sized were introduced in 3.10? can you please elaborate that on a screenshot maybe?

Yes.

Emm... I don't understand fine (sorry for my english). Do you mean that this bug has been fixed in 3.10?

See attachment.

I would mark this as confirmed if I could. I'm running gnome-clocks 3.8.2. It does indeed force a rather huge window on the user, consuming a lot of space that isn't actually used by any of the clock views, and refusing to be resized any smaller. It's 878x375 pixels with my window manager decorations.

The current iteration of the app uses libhandy to offer a responsive design and allows for a quite small window.
