Rhythmbox was already not able to play the Internet radio streams of http://www.thealternateside.org/audio-video/listen before. At least it was possible to get the Window Media stream running by extracting the actual stream URL. With version 3.0 this does not work anymore, too.

Also the more interesting streams do not work:

When trying to start the stream, Rhythmbox pauses directly the play. No output whatsoever has been received.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.
