Description Kamil Páral 2013-10-08 12:23:18 UTC
If I turn on wifi killswitch on my laptop, the airplane mode is displayed in the top right corner. But I haven't enabled the airplane mode, that's something a bit different. All the time I have the killswitch on, there's a little plane indicator and I can't get rid of it. The airplane mode can't be disabled neither through the menu nor through the control center.

Please see the attached video. (I had to split it into two parts because of bug 709633. Originally it should have been 3 parts, but I didn't have time to re-shoot it again or use a video recording different tool. Hopefully the major issue can be seen OK.)

If i disable the killswitch, and enable the airplane mode normally through the control center, everything works OK (the wifi is temporarily turned off and is turned on again once the airplane mode is disabled).

This is a new issue in GNOME 3.10.

When I enable rfkill, the journalctl log says:

One further detail: Please note that at 00:21 I have wifi off and the menu item says Turn Off. I have to click it and then open the menu again and click Turn On in order to turn on the wifi.
