In GNOME Shell, there is a notification in the Top Bar after selecting an application in the Application Picker, which is where the Application Menu resides, and has a spinner besides the name of the application. This helps the user to know if the application was successfully selected and is currently starting.

Starting Music doesn't show this and I suspect that we are missing something in the .desktop file.
