GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 707667
GPG file encryption with Seahorse is broken in GNOME 3.8
Last modified: 2013-11-23 15:42:09 UTC
Encrypting files to one of my GPG recipients does not work. If I run Nautilus from a terminal, I see the following output: EXEC: seahorse-tool --encrypt 'file:///home/jeff/foo.pdf' (seahorse-tool:28878): GLib-WARNING **: GChildWatchSource: Exit status of a child process was requested but ECHILD was received by waitpid(). Most likely the process is ignoring SIGCHLD, or some other thread is invoking waitpid() with a nonpositive first argument; either behavior can break applications that use g_child_watch_add()/g_spawn_sync() either directly or indirectly.
Actually, this has nothing to do with nautilus. If you run the seahorse-tool --encrypt command above in the terminal, you get the exact same output, it is therefore impossible to encrypt with Seahorse...
