GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 705635
empathy-accounts' Edit connection parameters doesn't act properly on an error
Last modified: 2018-05-22 16:15:33 UTC
(found this while working on bug #692105) In empathy-accounts, go to 'Edit connection parameters', particularly for an IRC account, change something and click Apply. If an error happens (see #692105), clicking on "Apply" seems to apply my changes (as I see empathy-accounts starts trying to re-connect to the new network) but doesn't close the modal dialog, and the error is not shown in the UI. If there's no error, the modal dialog is closed and the changes take effect (empathy-accounts tries to re-connect). We should probably not apply the changes when there's an error, and show the error somewhere in the UI. For testing purposes, you can unconditionally set an error in libempathy/empathy-keyring.c:items_delete_cb
