It would be nice to clean up the landing page for help so that the two sections don't compete. Having Getting Started with GNOME and Introduction to GNOME seems like having two signs, one saying "start here" and the other "begin tour here".

I think the best way forward is making Introduction to GNOME to become system walk through and point to it at the end of getting started rather than the landing page.

I was a bit confused by this, too. We show getting started when the system is first used. Then when you go back to Help it is no longer there.

I agree that the title Introduction to GNOME is confusing. We should definitely try to change this in the future. I guess that just changing the title could be an easy fix here.

I remember discussing various design proposals for a single landing page that would make use of an expander to display more topics. My take on this is that an expander is missing the point of index pages. Having two landing pages also better reflect the fact that we are actually targeting two different audiences with getting started and gnome-help (newcomers vs all users).

You can only have one landing page. That's the point.

It looks like there is a bit of misunderstanding of what these two landing pages do. While we certainly don't want to present a landing page for people getting started in GNOME that would be bloated with advanced topics, it is a good idea to have a separate landing page for all users serving as a quick overview of what (areas of) topics the user can find in GNOME Help.

So, keeping two different landing pages for two different purposes and audiences separate helps us keep content more organized and helps the user find specific content.
