Description Mario Wenzel 2013-06-03 12:46:25 UTC
On the login screen, if nobody enters anything, the clock overlay is shown. If no user has logged in yet, on pressing enter there is no keyboard focus on the user selection and there is no way to log in without a mouse.

If a user is already logged in (and you change the user) or the screen is locked, pressing enter removing the clock overlay keeps the keyboard focus on the login window causing no problems.
Only when no user is logged in.

This happens on vanilla Fedora 18.

Although this bug report is pretty old now (and it seems to have 4 duplicates, #731637, #733014, #712541 and #708105), there *is* a solution, although not documented.

You may press Ctrl-Alt-Tab to cycle between login screen elements, including the top bar.

This, however, is only a workaround, I hope someone fixes this issue soon. It still exists in 3.12.
