When you're typing fast and decide to change layout, Gnome have an annoying delay and some initial characters are still from the previous layout.

The only temporarily solution I've find that is suggested on Internet is to disable gnome from managing layouts and use qxkb[1][2]

I'm using Gnome 3.8.2 in ArchLinux
