Description Claudio 2013-05-12 12:50:56 UTC
If the desktop is locked while the accounts are online when getting back to the desktop the top right status icon (the one next to the user name) changes to offline (gray with an X ) even if I'm still connected.

This is on archlinux gnome 3.8.1
Comment 1 Claudio 2013-05-12 13:00:16 UTC
After restarting the shell the icon goes back to online, still the issue remains after locking the screen.
Comment 2 Claudio 2013-05-12 13:26:43 UTC
Apparently the issue presents itself only when there are extensions enabled, so far I've found three that triggers this: Weather, Caffeine and Media player indicator.
Comment 3 Claudio 2013-05-14 12:02:23 UTC
The bug is still present in 3.8.2 . athough it happens after a couple of lock/unlock.
Comment 4 Julien Olivier 2013-07-23 08:15:18 UTC
I have the very same problem, but with all extensions disabled.
Comment 5 Debarshi Ray 2014-06-12 12:11:35 UTC
This would have been a gnome-shell or telepathy bug in the first place because gnome-online-accounts does not have anything to do with showing the status.

I am going to close this as OBSOLETE because this particular area of gnome-shell was redesigned in 3.10.x and the user status is no longer a part of it.
