GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 700153
Evolution loses settings (probably related to gnome-online-accounts)
Last modified: 2013-05-14 19:03:31 UTC
I use gnome-online-accounts with a google accounts. I changed some evolution settings of gmail and google-calendar (making them defaults, I make some change in the preferences of mail etc.). But after some time of use (1-2 days) settings are reverted to default. I tried also to open it with: export G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all evolution but it did not report any error. Step to reproduce: 1) create a google account with gnome-online-accounts. 2) change some preferences of mail and calendar. 3) after 1-2 days settings are reverted to default That doesn't occur with evolution 3.6. This problem doesn't occur with a normal mail account (created in evolution) so I think it is related to gnome-online-accounts. I'm using evolution 3.8.1 with Arch Linux. Thank you.
Exactly which preferences did you change that got reverted?
For gmail: I changed default foder for draft and sent message (i used the draft and sent message of gmail) Edit->Receiving options->show only subscrived folder Edit->Receiving options->Use quick resinc if server support it Edit->Receiving options->Listen for server change notifications I also selected it as default For calendar properties: I changed the color marked as default calendar Copy calendar for offline operation Refresh every every 30 minutes I changed only this settings, others are defaults. I also enabled as default google contacts (I forgot to write it before). Thanks.
This might be a duplicate of bug 698726 (fixed in 3.8.2), where if goa-daemon aborts while E-D-S is running, E-D-S would destroy and recreate E-D-S accounts. Can't think of anything else that might cause this.
I tried version 3.8.2 and I think it's fixed now!
