GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 698770
Unusually high memory usage (1.2 GB of memory for a 600 kB gif)
Last modified: 2013-08-27 21:34:22 UTC
Trying to preview an animated GIF in Sushi causes it to grow to ~1200 MB of memory (RSS, not VIRT) – and on top of that, it only shows the first frame of the GIF. The image (from http://redd.it/1buu0z) is ~3190 frames, 299x299 px, compressed down to 580 kB. sushi 3.8.1

-> gdk-pixbuf Yikes - I can actually reproduce this in EoG, so it's very likely a gdk-pixbuf bug.
This bug is duplication of bug 585425. Try use patch from attachment 204837 [details] [review]. For me after apply this patch used 147Mb in eog.
