GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 698436
regression: Epiphany no longer warns when closing document with unsubmitted form
Last modified: 2013-06-21 22:48:21 UTC
I'm running Epiphany from git master with WebKitGTK 2.0.1. To see the problem, visit any Web page with a form (such as this one!), type some text and then close the tab you're in (e.g. by pressing Ctrl+W). The page will immediately close. Previous versions of Epiphany (up to 3.7.91 at least) would first display a warning ("There are unsubmitted changes to form elements") before closing the page.
By the way, this bug is pretty annoying because I often press Ctrl+W by mistake while typing in a form (a habit from Bash, where Ctrl+W deletes a word) and that now closes the browser without warning, causing my form data to be lost!
