GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 696988
bridge slave: allow interface names
Last modified: 2013-04-03 13:28:15 UTC
Some devices, like usb ethernet modules, use random MAC addresses. This becomes unconfigurable with identifying connection configuration by MAC address. Will be probably ok, if it will possible to identify connection by device name. In new udev persistent rules included anyway.
Locking a connection to an interface name was committed to git on March 13th, 2013 and will be part of the 0.9.10 release. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 693684 ***
