Description greg 2013-03-30 00:12:16 UTC
Within Gedit, to open a new tab the user must tap Ctrl+N. This is bad because in most other apps, Ctrl+N is the keyboard shortcut that is used to open a new window. CTRL+T is the customary shortcut used to open a new tab.

To help increase uniformity of keyboard shortcuts across applications, I propose that the Gedit keyboard shortcuts be changed: Ctrl+N should work to open a new Gedit window. And Ctrl+T should work to open a new Gedit tab.
