GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 696136
xsltMaxVars should go into LIBXML2_1.1.27, but not LIBXML2_1.0.24
Last modified: 2013-08-04 15:23:44 UTC
This bug was originally reported as Debian bug 698955: http://bugs.debian.org/698955 xsltMaxVars should go into LIBXML2_1.1.27 in , but not LIBXML2_1.0.24. It was discovered that if a xsltproc from 1.1.27 is installed together with a libxslt1.1 from an older version, the xsltproc will fail: $ xsltproc xsltproc: relocation error: xsltproc: symbol xsltMaxVars, version LIBXML2_1.0.24 not defined in file libxslt.so.1 with link time reference While it works correctly when using the same version of xsltproc and libxslt1.1.
The reason is that xsltMaxVars was introduced in libxslt 1.1.27. It's impossible to run xsltproc 1.1.27 with an earlier libxslt. The message about LIBXML2_1.0.24 is a separate but maybe similar problem.
