Cosimo mentioned the other day that he thinks the vignette effect in the overview
is too subtle.

This patch is something I tried after that and then forgot about. I'm just posting
it here so it doesn't get lost.

I could go either way.  Allan, what do you think?

Square the intensity change so it's more obvious.

I am still of the opinion the effect right now is a bit too subtle, but I just tested this and I think it's a bit too dramatic.
Can we do something in between?
