Description Fabio 2013-02-16 16:04:56 UTC
Totem can play an pure ac3 sound file and it is recognized as Dolby Digital source by my amplifier.
This is not the case with DVDs!
With Totem, DVDs are always recognized by my amp as stereo.
Playing the same DVD with vlc-player, Dolby Digital is recognized fine.
Totem shows in properties that the DVD has "Dobly Digital (AC-3) codec.

This was tested with totem 3.0.1 on Ubuntu 12.4

Totem 3.0 is too old and based on GStreamer 0.10. On GStreamer 1.0, we'll hit bug 696040 though so closing this as a dupe.
