Description Sri Ramkrishna 2013-02-10 21:19:21 UTC
So there seems to be some interesting interaction problems with trine 2 on Steam. I am using the proprietary ATI driver fglrx on Fedora 18 to run this. Initial screens are fine, but when I get to one particular screen, if I ever mouse to the bottom the game puts up a "game paused" dialog and then I can't do any interaction. If you end up doing a right click, it quickly flashes to the desktop and you can see a right click window briefly and then it flashes back to the game.

The only way to quit is to alt-f2 and then kill the process. Not sure why it only happens after a particular set of screens. (It is a side scroller)

I'm willing to purchase a trine 2 game for any core developer who wants to figure out what's wrong.

Any chance you can test this with 3.7.x (or better master using jhbuild) ? Might be related to bug 693042 (which has been fixed in 3.7.5).

Sure, I'm trying to get the silly thing built from tarballs, but I've been running into issues with building here and there. I would have thought it would be smooth, but unfortunately it hasn't.

Actually the scratch build from https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=693042#c2 is still present ... should be easy to test with that.

Hey Sri, any chance you can check if this bug is still happening?

Seems to be fine now at least on the ATI open source drivers. You can close.
