GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 693244
View Lots window enhancements
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:13:28 UTC
It is not possible to sort the entries in the View Lots window by clicking on the column headings, as is common in most windows. For example, it would be nice to be able to click on the Opened column and sort the lost list by Opened date. This does not work, however--at least not in OS X 10.8.2. Not sure whether this is Mac OS X problem, or whether it is evident in all OSes.
Thank you for your report. I'm happy to inform you this has already been fixed in the current development series -- at least mostly. With that I mean you can now click on the column headings and this will change the sorting order of the rows. It does not really work as expected for the date columns though. The dates are literal strings in this window so they are sorted alpa-numerically instead of by date. So given some dates 15-06-2012, 26-03-2011 and 27-01-2013 would be ordered as 15-06-2012 26-03-2011 27-01-2013 instead of 26-03-2011 15-06-2012 27-01-2013 if really sorting by date. I'll keep this report open as a reminder this should still be fixed.
This problem has been fixed in the development version (see commit r23363). The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
Reassign version to 2.4.x so that individual 2.4 versions can be retired.
