This is the GDB output of bt full on nm-applet when trying to run it with the latest GTK git with GDK_BACKEND=wayland.

It seems that GTK itself is what's causing nm-applet to crash with the Wayland backend by trying to create an X window for the notification.

Yeah, GtkStatusIcon needs to be fixed for a multi-backend world
