Description Alexander van Loon 2013-01-25 20:06:25 UTC
I noticed on a fresh installation of Evolution that the "Personal" address book which is present when Evolution is started for the first time does not appear in the Birthdays & Anniversaries calendar by default.

I've wondered in the past why birthdays of my contacts in this address book didn't appear in the calendar and only now do I know why. The option "Use in Birthdays & Anniversaries calendar" is well hidden in the "Address Book Properties" dialog (found if right clicking on an address book) and should be enabled by default for the "Personal" address book to prevent any confusion.

Thanks for a bug report. I agree, thus this may wait for bug #729733. Once that done it'll be easier to fix this bug as well.

After looking more deeply in the current code I realized that I was wrong with the comment #1, it can be done without those changes too.
