.gnumeric file to reproduce the problem

- open the attached workbook
- open the chart properties
- go to the data labels in PlotXY1
- set an offset of 20
- apply
=> the offset of 20 is applied
- now open again the chart properties
- do nothing and apply
=> the offset is set to 0

Note that in the current example, an offset of 20 is still a bit small and I would feel more comfortable with a max of 40.

This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report.
At least the persistence is fixed. The maximum is still 20.
