I have Large Text turned on in GNOME.
Apparently this makes the welcome text when setting up a new VM get cut off.

I think this will be fixed when bug 678960 is fixed...

With bug 678960 now fixed i *believe* this is fixed, but for some reason "Large Text" doesn't work for me, so i can't verify this.
