It's happened several times on both my machines that the message tray suddenly disappears. It's all lost. Gets back on reboot.

No idea how to track this down, so pointers welcome!

Is this on 3.6? If so, dupe of 683986. It is a known bug, or probably a combination of more bugs, but aren't really sure of the origin. I made some guesses, resulting in hackish patches, but the problem persisted...
