Description:
I installed Linux on a Dell Inspiron 8000 Laptop. I have a NVIDIA graphics adapter and the necessary kernel has been installed on my machine. Gnome Panel crashes sometimes when I start X.

try the latest gnome-core and gnome-libs packages too.
