When I try to use Gst-Launch to expose some internet radio stations to the network, the sound is really coppy with 0.17.x.

Might be a GStreamer 1.0 issue as it works fine on 0.16.x, needs investigation.

Looks like this is due to icy meta-data; can be worked around using an invalid content type to force transcoding.
