Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it. Can you get us a stack trace? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!
Unfortunally I am not able to. I have installed the dbg packages for rhythmbox, glib, gtkand gvfs in the correct versions. After this I have called from terminal rhythmbox --g-fatal-warnings ,because it is a freezer and not a crash(my plan was to attach gdb on the running process in --g-fatal-warnings mode). I have performed the reproducing procedure and come to the point were rhythmbox freezes. This happends, but the terminal output shows nothing. A try with attaching gdb to the running rythmbox(called with --g-fatal-warning)do also not showing anything(last lines-rhythembox already frozen): [New Thread 0x7fbc83d98700 (LWP 13299)] [New Thread 0x7fbc82b41700 (LWP 13300)] [New Thread 0x7fbc82340700 (LWP 13301)] [New Thread 0x7fbc8133e700 (LWP 13302)] [Thread 0x7fbc82340700 (LWP 13301) exited] So,... ??? -> I would provide but I could not.
On launchpad downstream filip has pointed me that there is a second upstream report which targets properly the same problem. With respect to Walter Garcia-Fontes work(stacktrace generation) I close mine as dublicate of his(the same as downstream). greetings melchiaros *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 695652 ***
Just for overview. In moment launchpad downstream counts 9 people who have runned in.
