Hi,

What about offering to directly download the app (download a tar.gz package for example) ?

In fact, I'm currently on a fresh install of Gnome 3.6 and there are many extensions I can't install at all because they are said to be compatible with Gnome 3.4 only. However, many of them just need a subtle modification indicated in comments (but that the author hasn't made yet).

Thanks

It's very strange that there's no option to download as a tarball and also not a link to the source control repo of the extension. Was going to investigate a problem with installing an extension on a co-workers computer but gave up after I was unable to even find how to get to the source repository of the extension (and yes, I did try Google).

Dup. of https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=666632 re. downloading (see there for a user script workaround).
