GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 687590
"Ejecting drive '%s' failed:" What is %s exactly?
Last modified: 2017-08-03 12:07:17 UTC
#: ../extensions/drive-menu/extension.js:72 #, c-format msgid "Ejecting drive '%s' failed:" Hi what is %s? is it only CDROM or also USB key?
The %s is a string with the name of a GMount, which I assume can be mounted filesystem: http://developer.gnome.org/gio/unstable/GMount.html#GMount.description Also, this isn't a bug, please ask on IRC or the mailing list next time.
No, this is the appropriate place to ask for such bugs. We need to add a translator comment.
(In reply to comment #1) > this isn't a bug, please ask on IRC or the mailing list next time. Expecting dozens of translators to ask on IRC individually and expecting developers to answer the same question again and again (instead of documenting meanings of strings properly) IS a valid bug. ;) See https://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines/Use%20comments for how to fix this.
