strings describing for better translation
Last modified: 2012-11-22 20:10:41 UTC
Please, describe when are used this strings. In which situations are used or strings, that they are used with. I need that for better translation. This three strings are for type of signal, television or DVB device??? #: ../client/gnomedvb/ui/wizard/__init__.py:4 msgid "digital cable" #: ../client/gnomedvb/ui/wizard/__init__.py:5 msgid "digital satellite" #: ../client/gnomedvb/ui/wizard/__init__.py:6 msgid "digital terrestrial" This string is displayed after some string.please give me example of that string. #: ../client/gnomedvb/ui/wizard/pages/SetupDevicePage.py:118 msgid "TV" Thank you for your help!
These are all ways how to receive a television broadcast: msgid "digital cable" = DVB-C msgid "digital satellite" = DVB-S msgid "digital terrestrial" = DVB-T
can you please create for me screenshot of dialog/window, where are used this strings? i can't access it, because i don't have good DVB tuner. thanks
Created attachment 228021 [details] Image of gnome-dvb-setup The string occurs in the column to the right which lists the type of the device.
Thank you for screenshot! And can you please help me with that second string too? Where/when is used: #: ../client/gnomedvb/ui/wizard/pages/SetupDevicePage.py:118 msgid "TV"
The string is used as a suffix to construct a device name. Currently, there are three variants: digital cable TV, digital satellite TV, and digital terrestrial TV.
(In reply to comment #5) > The string is used as a suffix to construct a device name. Uhm. https://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines/Never%20split%20sentences
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
