GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 685785
Crop document with marks for printing
Last modified: 2018-05-22 14:48:49 UTC
Some PDF's come with the marks for press printing, using a lot of space and leaving the content reduced to a minimal part of the screen. A nice feature would be allow the user to select the visible area and "crop it". This crop should not be a "real crop" in the document, just set the visible area.
Created attachment 226101 [details] Screenshot of Evince 'crop' process In the image, you can see Evince in 3 different states: 1. The original document, where you can see the original document with the marks. 2. The user select the visible area (to crop) 3. From now on, the user only see the cropped area, which gives more area to the content with less distraction. It can be stored as a metadata, so no need to modify the real document.
