how about moving it to gsettings? I might cook a patch for this, but I'd like to know I migrate it to something you'd accept before doing so. :-)

I don't think gsettings is the right place to store this kind of thing.

A short term patch would just keep the current txt format and switch from EphyNode to something else. I have some more elaborate plans that could merge the EphySession and EphyState files into one big blob that is updated in a separate thread (so something like EpiphanyModel). But that can be done later.
