Description tom 2012-09-02 17:27:08 UTC
Clean install of GIMP 2.8, intalled the help file as well in the same folder (c:/program files/gimp 2. Although the help system on instal stated that GIMP didn't seem to be installed. On opening help in gimp get message:
Error opening file: Invalid argument
Reinstalled several times - no change.

In preferences, help states that there is a "there's a local installation of the user manual."

Selecting the web based version works but cannot get the local sources to function.

Can't believe this is meant to be the way the program functions.
Thanks!
