GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 682815
incorrectly reports size of encrypted share
Last modified: 2021-05-26 09:26:26 UTC
Created attachment 222567 [details] screenshot of results, indicating an incorrect size for /home/.encryptfs i have an encrypted home directory. i use Baobab as "Disk Usage Analyzer" in Ubuntu 12.04, and when i scan my home directory, it shows it at exactly twice the actual size. It reports /home/.encryptfs as the same size as /home/username. That affects the size listed for '/' as well. In spite of calculating the size incorrectly, it does correctly report the total filesystem's capacity, used, and available space above the directory listing.
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version of Baobab, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new enhancement request ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/baobab/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
