Or so it seems. I'm guessing that it shouldn't be there in some of the modes as well.

The second par tof the bug request is fixed by this patch. The first is already tracked here https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=678864

Thanks Mael! Pushed the patch. I am closing this bug since the fact that selection does not do anything even in world clocks and alarms is tracked in bug #678864 and #681129
