Description Frédéric Parrenin 2012-07-27 20:05:42 UTC
- open a first workbook and save it as Book1.gnumeric
- put 1 in A1
- open a second workbook and save it as Book2.gnumeric in the same folder
- put =[Book1.gnumeric]Sheet1!A1 in A1
=> bug n°1: a colored square is drawn around cell A1 in Book2, but it should be drawn around cell A1 in Book1
- now go back to Book1 (with cell A1 in Book2 still visible) and put 0 in A1
=> bug n°2: cell A1 in Book2 is not refreshed. It is only refreshed when you go back to Book2.

Item 2 is known.
Comment 2 Andreas J. Guelzow 2012-07-30 00:42:38 UTC
Re #1: we are now suppressing the colour marker in the wrong (current) workbook. I am not sure whether we should show it in the external workbook since a separate editing process could be in progress there!
Comment 3 Morten Welinder 2012-07-30 01:03:14 UTC
Andreas: agreed.

I'm closing this because (1) is done and (2) is covered elsewhere.
Comment 4 Andreas J. Guelzow 2012-07-30 20:27:54 UTC
Re #1, I think it is definitely the correct decision not to show them in another workbook. We don't even show the markers in a different view of the current workbook...
Comment 5 Frédéric Parrenin 2012-07-31 12:31:55 UTC
What is the rational for not showing the markers? (in a different view or in a different workbook)
It seems like a useful feature at first glance.
