Description Xavier Claessens 2012-07-19 09:52:06 UTC
Not only it freeze the UI for several seconds when you have lots of files (even on SSD) but also it makes very difficult to navigate folder hierarchy.

For example, I have a folder with all my projects git clones. I often need to go to the "telepathy-glib" folder so I just typed "telepathy", but now that will show hundred of files... impossible to go to the "telepathy-glib" folder without taking the mouse and searching manually.

I understand this global search is useful for people that can't keep their files ordered, but for those who can it makes nautilus a pain to use.

Please reconsider this, or make it optional...
