It looks like the Android build is missing -fPIC for the libx264 plugin. Perhaps other plugins are missing it as well. Please see http://mailman.videolan.org/pipermail/x264-devel/2012-July/009452.html for more information.

Have you tried the new build system from the GStreamer SDK, as linked to at the top of
