GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 679491
xsltproc--novalid-nonet-content.xml process hangs system with 2 GB memory consumption
Last modified: 2016-04-29 14:21:00 UTC
The problem is in Ubuntu 12.04 with xfce desktop. When OS is loaded the process xsltproc--novalid-nonet-content.xml consumes all available memory (more than 2 GB in my case) making system unusable. The only way to get the system to normal state is to kill the process. It is not starting again afterwards and no visible functionality problems appears. Version: sing libxml 20708, libxslt 10126 and libexslt 815 xsltproc was compiled against libxml 20708, libxslt 10126 and libexslt 815 libxslt 10126 was compiled against libxml 20708 libexslt 815 was compiled against libxml 20708
This looks like a Ubuntu problem.
