Description Christian Persch 2012-07-03 11:07:28 UTC
Using the gnote 0.8.2 in gnome3 fallback mode (tray icon) on F17.

Sometimes, when I re-open a note (by left-clicking on the tray icon and choosing it from the menu; or by opening it from the 'search all notes' view), the cursor in the text view is invisible, making it rather hard to edit the note.

This doesn't happen always, just for some notes...

What do you mean by "invisible"?
Is cursor outside the visible area or is it literally invisible?
Comment 2 Christian Persch 2012-07-03 20:40:21 UTC
It's really invisible. I can click somewhere, and then typing will put the text there, so the cursor is not somewhere outside, it's right where it should be, but invisible.

This bug is also reported in Fedora here:

I see it all the time, for years now. I've just decided to find a different note-taking application, because editing without a cursor is bloody hard and my patience just ended.

If your patience is so challenging, why didn't you submit a patch? One would think that somebody at Red Hat could understand how volunteer run project work.

Someone from Red Hat could certainly submit a patch, but not me :-) Sorry.
