When I open Totem movie player, the following message appears:
An error occurred
Internal GStreamer error: state change failed.  Please file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer.

If I press the OK button, I can use Totem but when try to open a file from the "Movie|" section, the following message appears:
Totem could not play 'file:...
You do not have a decoder installed to handle this file. You might need to install the necessary plugins.

What version of totem? What version of GStreamer? (See about box from totem's help menu).

Totem Movie Player 2.16.7 using GStreamer 0.10.20 and GNOME

Those versions are five years old and we are not interested in problems with such ancient versions as we do not support them anymore.

By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.

Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME, or feel free to file a bug report in the bug tracking system of your distribution if your distribution still supports this version.
