Description dmtech 2012-06-14 17:31:13 UTC
If I try to open GIMP's help, either via Help - Help, Help - Context Help or pressing F1, the GIMP Help Browser opens but shows "Error opening file: Invalid Argument" in the right pane. The left pane does show an Index but clicking on any of the entries doesn't change the right pane.

Clicking the "Visit the GIMP documentation website" button does work and opens the website in the Help Browser.

Note I've installed the 2.6.0 Help with the Windows Installer despite running GIMP 2.8.0 as that's the only one that's available, so if that was stupid and explains why it's not working, sorry!

Is this bug #675784?

Thanks, it does rather sound like it is.

Sorry I didn't see that before posting. Perhaps you could delete this report as it's rather superfluous?
