Description Jonathan Ryshpan 2012-06-12 19:03:33 UTC
To see this bug:

1. Start the KDE desktop. (The bug does not appear under Gnome.)
2. Run gtk3-demo
3. Double click "Combo Boxes"
4. Enter some text in the box under "String IDs". Note that it echoes.
5. Click on the box under "Where are we?".
6. Enter some more text in the box under "String IDs". Note that it doesn't echo.

A consequence of this bug is that evolution is very difficult to use under KDE, since evolution uses gtk3. Thanks to Milan Crha for pointing out the existence of this demo.

I can confirm this with:
   kde-runtime-4.8.3-1.fc17
   gtk3-3.4.3-2.fc17
Comment 2 Jonathan Ryshpan 2012-07-20 18:23:51 UTC
Appears to be fixed by the latest gtk+ release. On my system this is: gtk3-3.4.4-1.fc17.x86_64 .
