Power Statistics doesn't provide enough functionality to warrant a whole application launcher to itself, yet you cannot uninstall it.

In the long run, I think that a new Usage application [1] should take over from gnome-power-statistics. The question is what to do in the short term. I can think of two options:

 1. Brush up the gnome-power-statistics UI and link to it from the System Settings power panel. Then set gnome-power-statastics to NoDisplay.

 2. Separate gnome-power-statistics into a separate application.

1 feels like it would be going in the wrong direction, whereas 2 would be consistent with the long-term plan, so 2 would be my preference (I'd be happy with either approach though).

I didn't realise that gnome-power-manager isn't required by other modules. Option 2 doesn't might make sense if Usage comes to depend on g-p-m. In the mean time we don't need to do anything.
