We are considering to remove Empathy's 'Contact on a map' feature. Emerillon sounds like the proper place for having such feature.

Ideally, Emerillon should just use Folks to get the location (bug #627400) so it doesn't have to include Telepathy specific code.

Emerillon is not under active development anymore and has not seen code changes for many years. 
Its codebase has been archived: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/emerillon/commits/master

The project has been superseded by GNOME Maps: https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Maps
